Description
Kabe Taijin, born Taito Kawabe, began as a socially awkward teenager struggling to express himself. High school interactions with peers led to clumsy exchanges, cementing his self-image as a "lowly, boring normie." This isolation shattered when classmate Suzuki and Sekitoba Kung Fu's CD introduced him to rap—a medium that finally channeled his inner emotions.

Rap transformed him into a three-time consecutive DRB Rap Battle Competition champion. His victories earned titles like "The Magician of Words," "The Inventor King of the Rap World," and "The Precision Machine of Rhymes." Yet relentless pressure to dominate fueled obsessive lyric-writing marathons, culminating in a severe stomach ulcer that collapsed him mid-performance. He quit competitive rapping, vowing never to perform publicly again.

Zhuge Kongming confronted him at a laundromat, challenging him to a rap battle at BB Lounge. Kabe initially refused but attended, where Eiko Tsukimi’s rendition of "Find the Way"—a song meaningful from his school days—struck a chord. Kongming’s public taunts reignited Kabe’s competitive fire. Their fierce battle ended with Kabe’s victory. Kongming granted his wish: not material reward, but the restored ability to rap. This propelled Kabe into Kongming and Eiko’s musical mission.

He joined strategy sessions for events like the Summer Festival. Kongming tasked him with resolving unfinished business against rival Sekitoba Kung Fu. While preparing, Kabe intervened upon witnessing a bullied child—later discovering the child was a fan who encouraged him. Reuniting with Suzuki and his original rap crew helped him return to foundational techniques. Against Sekitoba, pre-battle anxiety gave way to confident execution. Sekitoba conceded defeat without a vote, acknowledging Kabe’s growth.

Later, Kabe supported Eiko’s Summer Sonia concert. When harassment targeted her during "Underworld," he intervened onstage, using rap techniques to redirect crowd hostility. This shielded Eiko, enabling her "Dreamer" performance. He remained integral to the group—freestyling during Eiko’s rehearsals, offering encouragement, and celebrating victories. Their bond evolved into a supportive creative partnership, with Kabe addressing her as "Eiko-chan."

Ordinarily soft-spoken and polite, Kabe shifts to a tone of "steeled resolve" during performances, delivering lyrics with "merciless and unrelenting" precision. His stage charisma captivates audiences, stirring deep emotions. He habitually wears hooded jackets, maintaining anonymity. His journey traces an arc from isolated self-doubt to a reintegrated artist valuing camaraderie and purposeful creation.
