Description
Luke Notos Greyrat, born into the prestigious Notos branch of the Greyrat family serving the Asura Kingdom, was appointed guardian knight to Princess Ariel Anemoi Asura in his youth, sharing the duty with Derrick Redbat. His fierce loyalty emerged early when, weaponless, he attempted to shield Ariel from a terminate boar during the teleportation incident, an act that would have proven fatal without Sylphiette's intervention. This event cemented his lifelong dedication to Ariel's safety, despite his swordsmanship remaining mediocre, rated intermediate in the Sword-God style and elementary in the Water-God style.

Strikingly handsome, Luke stands tall with a well-built frame and brown hair swept back, contributing to his reputation as a womanizer. He openly favors women with large breasts, a noted Notos trait, while expressing disdain for those with flat chests. Though flirtatious and frivolous towards women outside his close circle, he maintains professional boundaries with colleagues like Sylphiette (disguised as Fitts) and treats Ariel with unwavering reverence. His loyalty to her transcends personal ambition or politics, focusing solely on her well-being and succession to the Asura throne.

To offset his combat limitations, Luke heavily relies on enchanted gear: a steel-cutting sword, speed-doubling shoes, a temperature-regulating cloak, impact-dampening gloves, and a blade-resistant undertunic. At Ranoa Magic University, he supported Ariel's faction through social maneuvering. He initially antagonized his cousin Rudeus Greyrat, distrusting him due to Paul Greyrat's estrangement from the Notos family and Rudeus' influence on Sylphiette. This friction eased after Luke provided Sylphiette with an aphrodisiac that indirectly aided Rudeus' recovery from erectile dysfunction and he witnessed Sylphiette's deep devotion.

Luke faced his greatest test when Hitogami manipulated him, exploiting fears for Ariel's safety and implying betrayal by Rudeus and Luke's father, Pilemon Notos Greyrat. Witnessing Pilemon's actual betrayal and Ariel's subsequent humiliation of him, Luke temporarily snapped during a hostage situation with the Water God. He held Ariel at swordpoint—deliberately using the blunt edge—to protect his father, demanding Sylphiette kill Rudeus to secure Ariel's release. When Sylphiette refused, Ariel pardoned Luke despite his actions, extending the pardon to his father. This strained, yet did not break, his bond with Ariel, and he later succeeded as head of the Notos house.

In an alternate timeline without Rudeus' influence, Luke would have married Eris Boreas Greyrat after meeting her at age ten and dancing at her birthday celebration. This possibility vanished in the current timeline, though he retained an immediate attraction upon their first encounter. His indirect contributions include facilitating Rudeus and Sylphiette's reconciliation via the aphrodisiac and serving as a trusted ally during Ariel's political campaigns.
