Fūta-kun is Pi-chan's brother and the owner of a cat named Kyuruga. A working adult, he previously lived alone before his younger sister and her cat moved in. This new living situation marks his first experience living with or owning a cat, making him initially unfamiliar with typical feline behaviors and mannerisms. Each night after returning from work, he observes and encounters various unexpected, curious, and endearing interactions with Kyuruga, driving his adaptation to life alongside a pet cat. His character primarily functions as an observer and participant in these nightly episodes, serving as the narrative perspective for exploring cat ownership dynamics within a shared household.
