Description
Alex Kandori Stewart, a youth from northern Mexico, moved to his father's hometown after his mother died when he was seven. There he met Marcos Garcia and Sheila Levitt, forging deep bonds with both. Driven by poverty and dreams of professional baseball, he illegally crossed into Sunny Pool, California, with Marcos at seventeen. The pair struggled as homeless teenagers, desperate for food while pursuing their Major League ambitions. Their shared dream fractured when Marcos joined a harassing street gang for survival, abandoning baseball. Alex fiercely opposed this choice, reminding Marcos they came to find Sheila and play professionally. This conflict led Alex to leave Marcos temporarily, though he later returned to save Marcos when the gang threatened his life.
With their hopes seemingly gone, Alex and Marcos saw the U-NASA Annex Project as their final opportunity. To their shock, they discovered Sheila alive and working at U-NASA; they had believed her dead after seeing her mother's obituary. During the Annex I mission arc (2619 A.D.), Alex and Marcos lived destitute in a back alley. Constant hunger fueled arguments, including one halted by sheer exhaustion. Marcos's brief involvement with local gangsters further strained their relationship, prompting Alex to declare he never wanted to see Marcos again. However, witnessing Marcos attacked by those same gangsters, Alex intervened with precisely thrown rocks to disarm them. Fighting off the assailants together, they hid and reminisced about Sheila and their childhood talks about Mars, motivating their decision to join U-NASA's mission as their only future.
After undergoing the M.O. Operation, Alex gained the attributes of the harpy eagle. This transformation granted him flight and enhanced his eyesight to eight times human capability. His upper-body strength increased dramatically, complementing his natural aptitude for throwing. Combined with his exceptional vision, he achieves pinpoint accuracy at extreme distances, enabling him to throw projectiles with bullet-like force. In combat against the Terraformars, he utilizes specialized multi-gadget balls that function as bladed weapons or explosives, making him highly effective for long-range engagement. His combat effectiveness is amplified through coordination with Marcos E. Garcia; Alex pitches these balls to Marcos, who bats them with a specialized staff, significantly increasing their velocity and destructive power.
