Description
Takuma Shippō, heir to the Shippou family elevated to the Ten Master Clans in 2097, possesses a sturdy build and intense emotions like arrogance, ambition, and a quick temper. His personality is impulsive, marked by difficulty maintaining composure and a tendency to misunderstand situations. He harbors strong personal animosity toward the Saegusa family, believing they stole Herd Control Magic research, leading to frequent conflicts with Saegusa Kasumi and Izumi. Despite his status, he rejects scientific approaches to magic, refusing CADs in favor of traditional methods.

Born as the Shippou successor, his potent magical lineage saw him rank first among First High School's 2096 freshmen, surpassing the Saegusa twins, earning him the male freshman representative position—the first in five years. He declined a Student Council invitation, joining the Club Management Group instead to focus on training and bolstering his family against the Saegusa. He was later manipulated into a scheme undermining Japan's magical community, believing it would increase his family's influence.

As a first-year, Takuma allied with actress Maki Kowamura under the "New Order" ideology to recruit talents like Honoka Mitsui and Shizuku Kitayama. Misled by Maki, he mistakenly viewed Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba as Saegusa allies, escalating his rivalry. Defeats by opponents like Hagane Tomitsuka and witnessing Tatsuya's effortless victories forced him to confront his overestimation, prompting self-reflection and growth. He served as the first-year boys' leader during the Nine Schools Competition.

His relationship with Honoka Mitsui evolved after she showed concern following a defeat, developing into unrequited feelings. By university, he competed romantically with Mayu Torii for Honoka's attention, seeking advice from Shizuku Kitayama. In 2099, Maki called in a prior agreement, compelling Takuma to co-star in a film. After intensive acting training and ten months of filming, he debuted in June 2100 as a magician persecuted in a dystopian world, becoming the first magician actor at the century's end. This commitment caused academic decline due to attending only partial school days.

Takuma specializes in Herd Control Magic, manipulating multiple independent objects or phenomena as a single entity. His signature spells include **Million Edge**, a delayed-activation magic inscribed in a grimoire that shreds its pages into bladed projectiles, requiring extensive preparation and rendering the grimoire unusable until re-inscribed; **Air Bullet**, firing compressed air projectiles that explode on impact; and **Stone Shower**, concentrating pebbles against opponents using Herd Control. He employs a grimoire instead of a CAD, reflecting his disdain for technomagical tools. His precision is evident in techniques like directing hundreds of dry-ice bullets simultaneously.

The Shippou family's promotion occurred when Yotsuba Maya nominated them to replace the departing Kudou clan. Takuma's father, Takumi, assumed leadership but maintained collaboration with other clans for regional responsibilities like overseeing Kyoto. Takuma's development shows a shift from hotheaded ambition toward balancing magical duties with unexpected ventures like acting, though his core drive to elevate his family remains.
