Description
Takumi Iruma, a 40-year-old Japanese salaryman, was unintentionally pulled into Mildgard during a flawed hero summoning. Unable to return him, the goddess Nolyn remade his body into a silver-haired, brown-eyed teenager with a lean build and bestowed vast magical powers as compensation. Expressing a desire for peace through craftsmanship, he received the specialized "Alchemy" skill, allowing him to decompose, extract, synthesize, and recompose materials. His abilities encompassed elemental magics (fire, water, wind, earth, light, space-time), martial arts, spearmanship, and unique EX-ranked skills "Appraise EX" and "Item Box EX." The "Divine Protection of Goddess Norn" accelerated his skill growth beyond normal limits.

His reconstructed body erased his former strong aversion to violence. This manifested when he killed a thief in Mildgard without hesitation or guilt. A unique restriction in the comic version hid any killing from even Nolyn, forcing him to claim a "curse" explained his reluctance when questioned. Takumi combined inherent kindness and helpfulness with intense, sometimes health-neglecting, focus on alchemy and blacksmithing. He once ingested poison and wounded himself to heal Sofia Sylphide's curse, using the trauma to level his Light Magic.

Rescuing a child from a forest monster led Takumi to Bord Village in Barcula kingdom, where villagers built him a house. While exploring, he healed a wounded Poison Spider bearing a maple-leaf mark. Using his "Tame" skill, he named it Maple. Maple later evolved into a Killer Spider, then an Arachne, becoming his first familiar. Seeking to advance his craft, Takumi moved to Bolton city. Joining the adventurer's guild required monthly quests. His innovative alchemical creations, like inter-dimensional wagons and advanced infrastructure, inadvertently drew the Holy Sidonia Empire's attention, prompting them to summon three Earth heroes.

Takumi formed deep bonds with several individuals initially acquired as slaves. Maria, freed shortly after purchase, became his housekeeper, developing culinary and combat skills. Sofia Sylphide, an elf cursed with magic-sealing and crippling effects, was healed by Takumi and vowed eternal protection of his legacy. Reyva, a fox beast-kin, pursued alchemy training after gaining freedom. Máni, a rabbit beast-kin widow, began as his maid before their relationship deepened. These four women eventually became his wives. Beyond this circle, Nolyn maintained profound support, with implications his summoning might have been intentional to preempt the empire's plans.
