Description
Nemu Miyao, the Shape-Shifting Witch, wields transformative magic that allows her to assume animal forms—first a cat and mouse, later expanding to creatures like tigers and hawks through disciplined training. These shifts revert upon sleep, though she can selectively retain animal traits. Her abilities, initially concealed from all but Wolf, originated from intense tutelage under her mother, whose focus on magical mastery over social growth left Nemu withdrawn and emotionally guarded.

Isolated in childhood with scant human contact, she found friendship only after crossing paths with Nico Wakatsuki and the Otogi household during the Dogs and Raindrops prophecy. Bonds with Nico, Morihito Otogi, Kanshi Kazamatsuri, Keigo Magami, and Miharu Kiryu gradually eroded her social anxiety. She once considered Morihito—a half-ogre—as a potential familiar, but relinquished the idea upon discovering his existing pact with Nico, opting instead to quietly observe him in feline form while respecting his prowess.

Her dynamic with Keigo Magami and his alter-ego Wolf became pivotal. Partnering with Wolf to help Keigo accept his werewolf nature, she mentored him in flight magic, uncovering latent potential beneath his self-doubt. Their collaboration fostered mutual reliance and unspoken romantic tension toward both Keigo and Wolf, though articulating these feelings proved challenging. A pivotal rescue mission deepened their bond, mirroring her empathy for Keigo’s struggles without Wolf.

Beyond transformation, Nemu excels in obscure spells and curse analysis, exemplified by identifying Nico’s accidental friendship curse on Morihito. This skill underscores her strategic mind and commitment to nurturing allies’ relationships, often devising subtle plans to advance Nico and Morihito’s romance.

Though she shed much of her timidity, traces of social hesitancy linger. She favors indirect communication, sometimes retreating into her cat persona to assess situations before engaging. Her interests span the idol group Hey! Boy—particularly member Hebo Heboki—and navigating romantic uncertainties, a vulnerability Nico occasionally teases.

Armed with a witch’s wand housing a vital magic stone, she carved her place within the Otogi household’s supernatural endeavors, collaborating with allies like fellow witch Momo Kuramochi to confront threats. Balancing newfound connections with lingering emotional complexities, she navigates both mystical challenges and the gradual unraveling of her own heart.
