Description
Nanao Kisaragi, a first-year Kazemai High student in the boys’ kyudo club, sports wavy pink hair swept left, large pink eyes framed by long lashes, and a petite frame. His anime iteration features spikier short hair and a signature green hoodie beneath his uniform. Playful and flirtatious, he charms with effeminate mannerisms, bantering easily while indulging in mobile games, frog-themed trinkets, and trendy quirks like greeting others with “merha.” Female attention follows him, yet childhood jealousy-driven bullying persists, prompting his protective cousin Kaito Onogi—their bond sibling-close—to shield him since youth. In high school, Kaito still intercepts bullies, while Nanao tempers Kaito’s aggressive streaks.
Trained alone at a prefectural budokan during middle school under a judge’s instructor, Nanao mastered precise archery techniques. His arrows, celebrated for their featherlight grace and sustained flight, contrast peers’ forceful shots. Though skilled, he credits his archery drive to external motivations, insisting he shoots “for someone else.”
Beyond Kaito, Nanao bonds with lively Ryohei Yamanouchi; their shared humor and social ease fuel inside jokes and mutual trust. The light novels highlight Ryohei defending him from bullies, strengthening their camaraderie. Residing with his parents and younger sister—all noted for attractive features—Nanao balances family life with hobbies like manga, time-travel stories, and seaside visits. A self-professed cat enthusiast, he favors soy lattes, scorns bitter gourd, and once harbored a kindergarten teacher crush, though the series never depicts romantic entanglements.
Media portrayals trace his growth from carefree joker to introspective teammate. Early narratives spotlight his cheerful facade, while later arcs reveal competitive sparks and reliability, weaving his trademark levity with deepening self-awareness about archery’s purpose and interpersonal ties.
