Description
Hana Ayukawa is a third-year high school senior working part-time at Every Mart convenience store. Among her fishing-focused coworkers, she stands out as a highly skilled and passionate angler, commanding respect as the group's top angler. Her cheerful, open, and easygoing personality naturally draws people in, making her well-liked. Yet beneath this bright demeanor lies a strong competitive streak and intense dislike of losing. When newcomer Tsunehiro Sasaki catches a sea bass surpassing her own catches, Takaaki Tsutsujimori's teasing comment provokes her to challenge Tsunehiro to a rematch, revealing her direct approach and refusal to accept defeat.

Fishing anchors her life, approached with equal seriousness and enthusiasm. She deems it the ultimate enjoyment and eagerly shares this passion, even with initially reluctant individuals like Tsunehiro. After he voices distaste for fishing, she insists he try it before judging and personally takes on his instruction, hoping he’ll discover the same thrill. She exhibits a straightforward, occasionally childlike reaction to fishing setbacks, though her determination and skill let her confidently tackle challenges.

She maintains close bonds with fellow angler coworkers, including Takaaki Tsutsujimori, whose light teasing she often takes as a challenge. The group regularly convenes at Every Mart, merging work with fishing discussions and mutual support. Following Tsunehiro's rescue by her and Takaaki after he fell into the sea, she facilitates his integration into their circle. Her persistent efforts to involve him in fishing gradually pull him into the hobby and community.

At Every Mart, her initiative leads her to establish an unauthorized fishing equipment section, reflecting her proactive and unconventional drive to promote her interests. This action demonstrates her willingness to bend rules to broaden exposure to her beloved pastime.
