Description
Airi Momoi, a former member of idol group QT, gained fame through frequent variety show appearances under the TV persona "The Masked Variety Idol, Happy Everyday." Her childhood idol career stemmed from admiration for Rainbow Garland and a desire to overcome teasing about her tomboyish nature, which involved getting into fights with boys. Overhearing her manager label her "very average as an idol" while pushing her towards full-time TV work prompted her to quit QT and abandon idol dreams, leaving her bitter. This bitterness initially caused her to insult Minori Hanasato's idol aspirations upon meeting. However, Minori's determination reignited Airi, leading her to co-found the idol group MORE MORE JUMP! with Haruka Kiritani, Shizuku Hinomori, and Minori. Airi utilizes her experience to proactively plan and schedule the group's activities without a formal agency. She trains Minori with a strict yet caring approach, preventing overwork.

Strong-minded and occasionally pushy, Airi is fundamentally protective, especially towards friends, family, and against bullies. As the middle child, she shares a close bond with her two sisters and values her father's cooking. Her relationship with Shizuku Hinomori is complex; once rivals in the same agency, jealousy over Shizuku's success strained their bond. They reconciled and became classmates at Miyamasuzaka Girls' Academy, with Airi often acting protectively. Ena Shinonome is her best friend, a bond formed when Ena defended her from mockery in middle school. Feeling indebted, Airi secretly enlisted Ena's brother, Akito Shinonome, for support during family difficulties. She also collaborates with Tenma Saki and Otori Emu for Valentine's Day treats and knows Shiraishi An through group activities.

In *COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing*, Airi and MORE MORE JUMP! aid a despondent Hatsune Miku struggling to emotionally connect through song. Alongside other units, they create and perform "FUN!!" to restore hope in individuals linked to Miku's disintegrating SEKAI—a dimension formed from human emotions. Their efforts revitalize the SEKAI and restore Miku's singing ability. Physically, Airi has cerise eyes and long, messy coral pink hair typically tied into small pigtails with ribbons. She stands 156 cm tall and possesses a lively, energetic voice. Her casual wear favors light yellow or pastels, while her MORE MORE JUMP! unit outfits feature coordinated designs with pink accents and cropped elements. She dislikes liver and is allergic to cats.
