Ai Furihata is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Nagano Prefecture, born on February 19, 1994. She is affiliated with the talent agency Across Entertainment. Before her voice acting debut, she held qualifications in practical word processing and calligraphy.

Furihata made her debut as a voice actress in 2015 when she was cast as Ruby Kurosawa in the multimedia project Love Live! Sunshine!!. This role became her most recognized performance and marked a significant turning point in her career. As part of the project's idol group Aqours, she also became a member of the sub-unit CYaRon! alongside her co-stars Anju Inami and Shuka Saito. Her involvement in the franchise extended across two seasons of the television anime, the 2019 film Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow, and multiple mobile games, including Love Live! School Idol Festival. She later reprised the role of Ruby in the 2023 spin-off series Genjitsu no Yohane -Sunshine in the Mirror-.

Beyond the Love Live! franchise, Furihata has built a diverse portfolio of voice roles. In 2020, she voiced the character Iyo in the television anime Rail Romanesque and Gome in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. That same year, she also had a recurring role providing voices for multiple elemental精灵 and characters in Healin' Good Pretty Cure. Her other anime credits include the role of Mamori in Armor Shop for Ladies & Gentlements second season in 2021 and Kosaku in the 2023 short-form series Totonoe! Sakuma-kun by &sauna. She is also set to appear in the 2025 theatrical film COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing, voicing the character Airi Momoi, a role she originated in the Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku game franchise.

In the realm of video games, Furihata has voiced Lisbeth Lustburg in For Whom the Alchemist Exists, Mani in Kintamani Dog, and Marcie in Dayan to Tama to Tobi Neko to: Mittsu no Neko no Monogatari. She also voiced the protagonist in the action game ICEY. In addition to her voice work, she performs theme songs for several of the series in which she appears, including Love Live! Sunshine!! and Project Sekai.

In 2020, Furihata expanded her artistic career by debuting as a solo singer under the Purple One Star label with her first mini-album, Moonrise. She has since released several additional EPs and singles, and in 2023, she released her first full-length studio album, Super Moon. She is also known for her skills in illustration and photography, often sharing her artwork and photos with fans on social media.
