Movie
Description
Tōya Aoyagi, son of a celebrated classical musician, endured rigorous childhood training in piano and violin under his father's strict supervision, frequently isolated for intensive study. This fostered deep resentment toward both his father and classical music, driving him to rebel through street performances. There, he met Akito Shinonome; their collaboration as BAD DOGS later expanded into Vivid BAD SQUAD with Kohane Azusawa and An Shiraishi.

He possesses sharp gray eyes, a mole beneath his left eye, and short bicolored hair—dark blue on the right, light blue on the left. His casual wear features a white hoodie under a green denim jacket with red accents and black ripped jeans. Stage outfits include a white graphic tee with a red collar layered under a purple hoodie and gray jacket, accessorized by a triangular pendant and blue headphones, or a black turtleneck with a tattered white shirt and a navy "DerMond" jacket.

Quiet and stoic, he often appears expressionless, perceived by others as blunt. Yet he is inherently kind and helpful, occasionally airheaded and gullible in social settings. Academically proficient, he earns high grades and urges Akito to prioritize studies. He trusts Akito profoundly, viewing him as his first true friend and irreplaceable partner. Before joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, he rarely smiled but gradually opened up within the group.

Key relationships define him: Akito Shinonome is his closest confidant, their bond deeply trusting and mutually supportive, with Toya crediting Akito for helping him find belonging after leaving classical music. Tsukasa Tenma, a childhood friend linked through their families' piano connections, encouraged Toya to pursue his desires despite opposition; Toya regards him as an older brother and subtly shields him from Akito's antics. He shares a classroom with Nene Kusanagi, bonding over gaming, and maintains a distant but polite rapport with his classical-music-focused family.

During the movie's events, Toya and Vivid BAD SQUAD assist a mysterious Miku who cannot sing. When Miku's SEKAI collapses—triggering a nationwide blackout and erasing Hatsune Miku from the internet—the group creates and performs "FUN!!" to reignite hope in those tied to Miku's SEKAI. Their efforts restore Miku's abilities and the digital world.
