Description
Kanade Yoisaki, known online as "K," founded and composes for the underground music circle Nightcord at 25:00. Her life centers on creating music as redemption for a childhood trauma: contributing to her musician father's composition preceded his coma from overwork after her mother's illness and death. Blaming her musical talent for this suffering, she dedicates herself to composing songs to "save people" as penance.

Kanade possesses long, blueish-white hair and blue eyes, typically wearing a dark blue track jacket and shorts. Years of homeschooling and prioritizing music over sleep, nutrition, and housework led to her reclusive lifestyle, necessitating weekly housekeeping arranged by her grandmother and performed by Honami Mochizuki.

Her defining motivation shifts upon encountering Mafuyu Asahina, whose profound emotional numbness manifests the "Empty Sekai." Kanade initially views Mafuyu ("Yuki") as someone to save through music to fulfill her own guilt. However, after confronting Mafuyu's controlling mother, Kanade refuses to abandon her, cementing a commitment based on genuine care. This bond deepens when Mafuyu moves into Kanade's house after running away; Kanade provides physical support, like hand-holding during distress.

Within Nightcord, Kanade collaborates with lyricist Mafuyu, artist Ena Shinonome ("Enanan"), and video editor Mizuki Akiyama ("Amia"). She values Ena's artistic contributions and Mizuki's role in helping her rediscover a pivotal childhood memory involving carnations, a symbol tied to her parents. Initially communicating solely online, the group gradually bridges their virtual and real-world connections.

In *COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing*, Kanade aids a despondent Miku whose Sekai collapses due to widespread hopelessness. She composes the song "Soko ni Aru, Hikari" ("The Light That Dwells Here") for Nightcord's performance, part of a collective effort to reignite hope and restore Miku's voice, aligning with her mission of musical salvation.

Kanade interacts beyond her unit: she briefly meets Ichika Hoshino in a music store, sharing mutual admiration for each other's hair, and later composes music for Ichika's band Leo/need. She also bonds with idol Hanasato Minori, who admires Kanade's dedication and inspires her with relentless optimism.
