OVA
Description
Mecha-Godzilla appears in the educational Godzilland OVAs as a juvenile mechanical duplicate of Godzilla. He lives among other young kaiju, his exact origins undefined and unconfirmed relation to Godzilla extending only to physical similarity. His design presents a super-deformed interpretation of the Showa Mechagodzilla, featuring a light blue color scheme, five visible teeth, and noticeable pupils.

Profound loneliness defines Mecha-Godzilla, fueling envy as he observes Godzilla's social group. This isolation drives antagonistic attempts to force friendships. In the addition narrative, he witnesses Godzilla and Anguirus arguing, misinterpreting their conflict as evidence of strong bonds. He approaches the sleeping Anguirus, disparages Godzilla as violent, and upon rejection, destroys Anguirus's hammock using red, yellow, and purple eye beams. He kidnaps Anguirus, flying him to a volcanic lair. When Godzilla, Mothra, Baragon, and Gojirin arrive for rescue, Mecha-Godzilla subjects them to an addition-themed quiz game. Their success secures Anguirus's release, prompting Mecha-Godzilla's despair expressed through tears. Mothra intervenes, counseling an apology, facilitating his initial, tentative acceptance.

In the subtraction narrative, Mecha-Godzilla encounters Gojirin at a lakeside pier. He invites her to accompany him, but her refusal citing his rough behavior prompts him to fire eye beams near her and forcibly seize her. Rodan alerts Godzilla and Anguirus, who confront him. Mecha-Godzilla demands they solve subtraction problems to free Gojirin, whom he restrains by standing on her tail. Their correct answers lead to his tearful departure. Later, Mothra discovers him crying mid-flight, learning of his loneliness and unkind actions toward Gojirin. She escorts him to the group during a jump-rope game. His subsequent apology is accepted, allowing him to participate and achieve integration.

His abilities include eye beams capable of igniting objects, significant physical strength enabling him to lift and carry kaiju like Anguirus and Gojirin, flight via foot propulsion jets, and sufficient mathematical knowledge to create and administer quizzes. While capable of destructive actions like blasting the hammock or firing near Gojirin, these stem from emotional outbursts linked to his isolation, not inherent malice. His development concludes with inclusion in the social group following Mothra's guidance and his expressions of remorse.
