Description
Anzar grows up among fellow Farmagia at Dentro's orphanage in Centvelt village, forming the close-knit group called the Dragons of Centvelt. He is an Advanced Replicant, created by the Magus Diluculum to harvest souls and possessing greater potential than ordinary Felicidad denizens. Within the group, he serves as a respected senior figure, idolized by protagonist Ten as a "big-brother figure" whom Ten aspires to surpass.
He bears a distinctive purple body marking, consistent among the group though unique in color per member. After Magus Diluculum's death and the rise of the tyrant Glaza, Anzar adopts the secret identity of Zanas, a masked commander acting as Glaza's right-hand man. This double life is a calculated sacrifice; he infiltrates the enemy to covertly protect his friends and sabotage Glaza's plans, specifically aiming to locate and destroy the grimoire containing the dangerous "Harvest Festival" spell before Glaza can decipher it. His actions as Zanas lead to a confrontation where he appears to betray the group, testing their trust.
During a critical operation on Sonrisa, L'Oreille murders general Lisan and betrays Glaza. This forces Anzar's unmasking, revealing his true identity as a "Fake Defector" to the group. Despite the shock, his infiltration and apparent betrayal stem from a "Big Brother Instinct" – a deep-seated drive to shoulder burdens and dangers alone to shield his friends. This protective instinct borders on "Detrimental Determination," as his refusal to rely on others nearly causes his downfall later.
Following Glaza's defeat and the revelation of Diluculum's faked death, Anzar fights in the final battles against the resurrected, corrupted Oración Seis generals. He faces a personal crisis when Diluculum transforms him into a demi-beast, a fate he overcomes only by accepting his friends' help, marking significant development from his solitary ways. After Diluculum's defeat and Felicidad's restoration, Anzar joins Ten and the others as part of the new continental leadership. They collectively rename themselves the Dragons of Centvelt to honor their origins and usher in an era of prosperity.
