Description
Hys dedicated her life as a caregiver and royal attendant to the Altean royal family, enduring the Galra Empire’s devastating 1984 assault on her homeworld. After escaping the catastrophe, she vanished into obscurity until resurfacing in 1999 at Castle Gradam to reunite with Princess Fala. Tasked with safeguarding the princess, she repeatedly clashed with the GoLion team, fiercely opposing Fala’s role as Blue Lion pilot following Takashi Shirogane’s death, deeming it a reckless endangerment of her charge.

Her vigilance often crossed into overbearing control, as she attempted to micromanage Fala’s choices and restrict her participation in missions. These actions fueled friction with teammates, who criticized her authoritarian approach. Yet her loyalty to Fala’s well-being never faltered, even as tensions mounted.

A year after aligning with the team, Hys confronted a Galra spy masquerading as Raible’s estranged son. When the impostor fired a lethal laser at the royal adviser, she threw herself in its path, sustaining mortal injuries. With her last breath, she mourned the future she would never share—Fala’s growth, triumphs, or hypothetical wedding. Her sacrifice became a rallying cry, igniting the team’s resolve to dismantle the Galra Empire.

Though Hys gradually softened her rigid adherence to tradition, begrudgingly acknowledging Fala’s autonomy, her instinct to shield the princess persisted. Her journey underscored the nuanced tensions between duty and personal loyalty, blending maternal ferocity with the uncompromising demands of war.
