Description
Kōhei Imamura attends Izu University as a first-year Mechanical Engineering student, aged 18 in manga adaptations and 20 in anime. He possesses a lean, muscular physique, dark blond hair swept to the right, and highly attractive dark gold eyes. His typical wardrobe features anime-character shirts, especially from "Magical Girl Rarako," though during Peek a Boo diving club activities he appears nude or in boxers.

A dedicated otaku, Kōhei fixates on lolicon tropes—particularly little sister archetypes—fueling his obsession with Shiori Kitahara. He openly embraces his otaku lifestyle, dismissing societal judgment, and dreams of a high school girl harem. Despite introverted tendencies and communication struggles in new social settings, he succumbs easily to bribes involving voice actor meetings, especially his favorite seiyuu Kaya Mizuki. When friendships or interests face threats, he reveals unexpected loyalty and resolve.

His otaku hobbies grant him proficient cooking skills—which he deems essential for desirable men—and artistic talent demonstrated through self-published "Magical Girl Rarako" doujinshi. He employs a "mix voice" technique to mimic female vocals, performing as virtual idol Sakuya and publishing related videos. Though not naturally athletic, he exhibits sudden bursts of skill when otaku goals motivate him, like refining diving abilities upon discovering Kaya Mizuki’s club ties.

Within Peek a Boo, his relationship with Iori Kitahara begins contentiously after she tricks him into joining. They evolve into close friends collaborating on antics and mutual support during peril. He respects Azusa Hamaoka for connecting him to Kaya Mizuki. His dynamic with Aina Yoshiwara shifts from aiding her romantic pursuits involving Iori to comforting her during emotional crises. Under hypnosis, he redirects anime-focused affection toward Aina, eventually asking her out—an offer she accepts, signaling romantic progression.

Kōhei adapts to the club’s culture, becoming a heavy drinker who actively participates in parties and exhibitionism. His initial reluctance toward diving transforms into genuine passion, partly driven by otaku incentives. A wealthy family background is implied but unspecified. Across manga, anime seasons, and live-action adaptations—where his nudity reduces to underwear—his core traits persist, with narrative focus on his otaku identity, relationships, and gradual emotional maturation, particularly concerning Aina.
