Description
Kim Chul is an A-Rank Hunter of the White Tiger Guild. He first appears formally in Season 2, Episode 13, following a brief cameo in Season 1, Episode 5. Confident and rigidly hierarchical, he views lower-ranked hunters as expendable. During the Red Gate incident, he deliberately separates weaker hunters from his raid party, deeming them a survival risk. After his selected group is killed by Ice Elves, he flees back to the abandoned camp. Enraged to find the lower-ranked hunters alive and safe under Sung Jinwoo's protection, he attacks Jinwoo but is killed by the shadow soldier Igris.

Jinwoo resurrects Kim Chul as a shadow soldier using the Shadow Extraction ability, renaming him "Iron." This transformation alters his personality drastically, making him lighthearted, comically impulsive, and fiercely loyal to Jinwoo. As Iron, he evolves into an Elite Knight Grade shadow soldier, comparable to an S-Rank Hunter, specializing as a Tanker in defense and melee attacks with an axe and shield. His prominence gradually diminishes within Jinwoo's expanding shadow army.

In the series epilogue, after Jinwoo uses the Ruler’s Cup of Reincarnation to reset the timeline, Kim Chul is reincarnated into a world without hunters or gates. He lives an ordinary life, retaining his inherent kindness but possessing no supernatural abilities or memories of his past existence. This peaceful life contrasts his earlier actions.

The anime adaptation modifies his confrontation with Jinwoo, framing it as self-defense rather than a calculated provocation by Jinwoo, differing from the manhwa's darker tone.
