TV-Series
Description
Margay is a feline Friend modeled after the wild margay cat (*Leopardus wiedii*), native to Central and South America. Her design incorporates the species' traits, featuring sandy blonde hair with dark brown markings and white tips, light green eyes, and black glasses mirroring the animal's distinctive eye rings. She wears a spotted ribbon bow, a white blouse, a spotted frilled skirt, long spotted gloves with white hands, thigh-high spotted leggings, and white shoes.

Debuting in the 2015 mobile game, Margay returns for the anime's second season. She frequents the Waterfront area, displaying an energetic and observant personality with a keen interest in idols and the interpersonal dynamics of female Friends. She exhibits excitability, such as experiencing nosebleeds when overwhelmed by admiration, notably for the idol group PPP. Margay habitually studies others, recording observations in a notebook, and shows fascination with romantic relationships between female Friends, though she denies this interest if questioned.

In Season 2, Episode 5's post-credits scene shows Margay visiting Suri Alpaca's café. She attempts to recruit African Wild Dog for unspecified work, admiring her diligence and cuteness, leading to a lighthearted tug-of-war with Suri Alpaca. Her primary role unfolds in Episode 8, where she hosts auditions to cast a Friend for a collaborative stage play with PPP, demonstrating organizational initiative.

Margay possesses the unique skill of vocal mimicry, enabling highly accurate voice imitation. She uses this ability strategically to deceive Cerulean threats during performances, ensuring others' safety. Her behavioral traits reflect the real margay's arboreal nature, including a preference for calming elevated perches like tree branches.

Across manga spin-offs, Margay's idol fandom and interest in relationship dynamics persist. In one chapter, she observes Ezo Red Fox and Nana, declaring them an exemplary couple and drawing inspiration for her writing. A dream sequence similarly shows her watching the pair during a rehearsal, expressing frustration when their interactions deviate from her expectations.
