Mami Yamashita is a Japanese voice actress born on September 13, 1987, in Hokkaido, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. Standing 160 cm tall with blood type A, she is also known by the nickname Mamimi.

Her path to voice acting began in television, with appearances on the 13th season of the program Koi no Karasawagi in 2006 and as a member of What's New?+Cute from 2007 to 2012. Her official debut in voice acting came in 2012 after winning the Sapporo regional title in the Miss Yakuza 5 audition, a competition that drew over one thousand applicants, which led to a role in the video game Yakuza 5.

In anime, Yamashita is known for her role as the Margay in the Kemono Friends franchise, a character she has voiced across multiple seasons and adaptations, including the 2017 first season and the 2019 second season, Kemono Friends 2. She also provided the voice for Noel in the 2021 anime film Santa Company: Manatsu no Merry Christmas. Her other anime credits include roles in long-running and popular series such as One Piece, Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Kai, and BanG Dream, where she voiced the character Yamabuki Chihiro.

Beyond anime, Yamashita has an extensive career in video games. In addition to her debut in Yakuza 5, her game roles include Nine Ume in Tokyo 7th Sisters, Leaf in Kotodaman, and appearances in Quiz RPG: The World of Mystic Wiz and the Kemono Friends mobile game. She is also active as a stage performer, with starring roles in stage adaptations such as Danganronpa 3 THE STAGE 2018 and the Kemono Friends stage plays. Her work as a presenter and event MC is a significant part of her career; she has regularly hosted events like the Tokyo Game Show and the BRA★BRA FINAL FANTASY concert series.

Yamashita is also a singer and has contributed to numerous character song releases for the series in which she performs. She is a member of the music unit 4U from the Tokyo 7th Sisters project. In 2019, she became part of the musical unit MiU under her nickname Mamimi. Yamashita announced her marriage in April 2022. Her personal interests include building custom personal computers, collecting anime merchandise, playing darts and video games, and she has humorously described herself as a big eater.
