Description
Isabella was born on September 9, 2014, at Grace Field House and later moved to an adjacent plantation. As a child, she formed a deep bond with Leslie, who composed a song she treasured. After Leslie's shipment and death, Isabella attempted escape only to discover an impassable cliff beyond the walls, shattering her hope. Facing shipment at twelve, she chose to train as a Mama to extend her life and honor Leslie. At nineteen during training, she underwent artificial insemination and gave birth to her son, Ray, who was immediately taken away. She was later appointed Mama of Grace Field House Plant 3, becoming the youngest to hold the position. Years later, overhearing Ray hum Leslie's song confirmed their biological tie, horrifying her as she realized she would oversee his shipment.

As Mama, Isabella meticulously nurtured the orphans at Grace Field, ensuring their happiness through structured routines, education, and affection, a facade masking her role in preparing them as livestock. When Emma and Norman witnessed Conny's shipment, Isabella shifted to active suppression, deploying threats, manipulation, and violence—including breaking Emma's leg—to thwart escapes. She leveraged Ray as an informant and orchestrated Sister Krone's demise to eliminate threats. Her motivations intertwined survival, trauma from her failed escape, and a desire to grant the children temporary happiness before death.

Following the escape of Emma, Ray, and thirteen others, Isabella accepted defeat, concealed evidence of their breakout, and genuinely wished them safety. Despite this failure, she was promoted to Grandmother of Grace Field. In this role, she secretly plotted against Peter Ratri and the farm system while anticipating the children's return. She maintained a harsh persona to avoid suspicion, harming recaptured escapees like Nat, but aimed to dismantle the farms. During the children's return to liberate remaining orphans, she coordinated with allies to overthrow the Ratri clan. In the final confrontation, she sacrificed herself to shield Emma from a demon, sustaining a fatal chest wound. With her dying breaths, she expressed remorse to Ray for her failures as a mother and hugged her children, seeking atonement.

Isabella's appearance evolved with her roles: as a child, she wore the standard orphan uniform with braided hair; as Mama, she adopted a dark dress, white apron, and pinned-up bun, displaying her neck tattoo "73584"; as Grandmother, she wore high-collared black attire concealing her tattoo. Her bun unraveling during the children's escape symbolized a momentary shedding of her controlled identity. Her personality reflected profound contradictions: childhood optimism shifted to calculated ruthlessness after trauma, yet she retained genuine love for the children, manifesting in both cruelty and self-sacrifice. Leslie's lullaby remained a recurring motif, connecting her past, motherhood, and grief.
