Description
Finn Oldman is a 17-year-old male with blonde hair, green eyes, and standing 176 cm (5 feet 9 inches) tall. He hails from a wealthy Trapla family but witnessed a knight in black armor murder his parents during his seventh birthday party and set fire to their home. This event caused repressed childhood memories and the loss of his older brother, Flann Oldman, whose fate was initially unknown. Clutching his X-Playing Card, Finn was rescued by a firefighter and grew up at Sun Fields Orphanage under director Lindsay Betz, who became a father figure.

During his orphanage years, Finn cultivated exceptional focus and precision, skills that honed his abilities as a pickpocket. As an adult, driven by deep loyalty to Sun Fields and the need to raise funds to prevent its closure by a landlord, he visited a casino. There, he witnessed violence involving X-Playing Cards, magical artifacts granting superhuman powers. He discovered his own card, the ♠2 "Neo New Nambu," could materialize a Nambu Model 60 revolver, which he wields with pinpoint accuracy, capable of disarming opponents by shooting through projectiles. This proficiency attracted High Card, a secret organization operating under the Pinochle car company cover. Finn joined as a sales apprentice at its Old Maid branch, adopting a yellow suit with black accents as his uniform.

Finn's High Card involvement intersected with his past. He suffered recurring nightmares of the fire and the black-armored knight, later revealed as the entity "San Galgano" linked to the King of Spades card. His brother Flann survived the attack but was manipulated by Ban Klondike of the Klondike mafia family; Flann's memories were falsified to believe he killed his parents, and he became the card's user under the alias "Tilt." The sentient card eroded Flann's consciousness, driving him to seek reunion with Finn while ruthlessly eliminating obstacles. This culminated in Finn learning the truth about his brother's fate and their shared history.

During missions, Finn formed key relationships. Chris Redgrave, his High Card mentor and partner, became a trusted confidant; Finn defended Chris when he stole cards to save his terminally ill sister, emphasizing their "family of choice" bond. Sun Fields was destroyed by Klondike member Bobby Ball, a direct result of Finn's High Card affiliation. His friend Apple Link intervened, purchasing the orphanage land and funding its reconstruction, resolving the financial crisis. Finn's loyalty to Lindsay was strained when Lindsay admitted withholding the truth about the murders, but they reconciled after the orphanage's destruction.

In his arc's climax, Finn confronted Flann, fully possessed by San Galgano. Despite attempts to save him, Finn was forced to kill Flann to prevent greater devastation, fulfilling a prophecy tied to his ♠2 card as the sole weapon capable of stopping the entity. This act cemented Finn's role as a fated figure in the X-Playing Card conflict.

In the spin-off manga *High Card -♢9 No Mercy*, Finn appears on a mission to retrieve a scattered X-Playing Card, apprehending civilian Percy Parker and later rescuing him from rival factions.
