ONA
Description
Jane is one of the main characters in the Ninjala series, originally working as a skilled computer hacker for the World Ninja Association, commonly referred to as the WNA. In her adult form, she was depicted wearing a red short-sleeved dress with white and black accents, black high heels, gold jewelry, and occasionally a large beige trench coat. After being transformed into a child, her appearance changes to that of a young fair-skinned girl with round yellow eyes and straight dark purple or bluish-purple hair. In her child form, she wears a beige and red racer-style outfit with an open zipper and a black and white checkerboard pattern across the chest. She keeps a pair of cream sunglasses with blue-tinted lenses perched on her forehead, which have become a signature part of her look. Her outfit is completed with black shorts, black fingerless gloves, thigh-high red boots, and a small checkerboard patterned rag hanging from her hip.

In terms of personality, Jane is characterized as serious and dedicated when carrying out her work assignments. She is poised and collected under pressure, reacting quickly in situations that demand immediate action without showing signs of distress. Despite her professionalism, she has clear ethical boundaries and refuses to take what she calls dirty jobs, meaning she does not want any association with causing someone's death. She also possesses a sassy and sarcastic side that tends to emerge in her interactions with her friend Ron, particularly after she has been freed from difficult situations. This combination of traits makes her both a capable operative and a relatable person with clear moral limits.

Jane's background and primary motivation are rooted in a mission that goes dangerously wrong. Her boss, a man named Bob, assigned her a special mission from the WNA Intelligence Division to hack into the WNA Research Institute and steal development data. Although skeptical about why one branch of the WNA would need to steal information from another, she agreed to the task. After successfully hacking the institute and retrieving the data, she discovered the top-secret Ninja-Gum project. Her curiosity was further piqued when she learned that three researchers, including her acquaintance Ron, had gone missing from the facility. Deciding to investigate on her own, she traveled to the abandoned research lab and gathered more intelligence on the Ninja-Gum. While reading about its properties, she inadvertently chewed on a piece of the gum due to her habit of snacking on candy while working. Immediately after, she was attacked by Bob and an accomplice who tried to kill her for learning too much and attempting to leave with the hacked data. Before they could finish the job, the Ninja-Gum took effect and transformed her into a child, shocking her attackers. Ron, who had been hiding nearby, saved her and also transformed himself by chewing the gum. Jane's primary motivations then became clear to retrieve her stolen laptop and get revenge on whoever ordered the initial hack against her.

Regarding her role in the story, Jane enters the Ninjala tournament alongside Ron as a way to investigate the conspiracy within the WNA and uncover the truth behind the attack on her. Her skills as a hacker remain central to her character, even after her transformation, and she continues to rely on her technical expertise to navigate conflicts and gather information. Her key relationships are primarily with Ron, who is her friend and ally throughout the series. They work together as a team, both having been transformed by the same substance and sharing a common goal. Jane also has meaningful interactions with other child characters, including Berecca and Burton. She bonds with Berecca over their shared experience of being adults trapped in children's bodies, and they lament together about not being old enough to have a drink. Her relationship with Burton develops from initial tension to mutual understanding, with the two eventually realizing they are not so different and sharing a high-five after working together.

In terms of character development, Jane demonstrates growth through her evolving relationships and her increasing willingness to trust and cooperate with others. While she initially focuses primarily on her own goals of retrieving her laptop and seeking revenge, she becomes more integrated into the larger group of transformed characters. Her moral code remains intact throughout the story, as she consistently refuses to participate in operations that would directly harm others. She also shows a caring side in smaller moments, such as when the WNA lunch lady delivers her favorite meal while she is pretending to be sick, indicating that she has formed genuine bonds with people in her daily life.

As for notable abilities, Jane is an expert computer hacker who relies on her laptop to perform sophisticated infiltrations of secure networks. Her hacking skills are portrayed as highly advanced, allowing her to break into WNA Research Institute systems and extract classified development data. She is also quick to react in dangerous situations and resourceful when threatened, although she is not primarily a physical fighter. Her transformation into a child due to the Ninja-Gum is not an ability she controls but rather a side effect of the substance. However, this transformation allows her to participate in the Ninjala tournament alongside the other child characters. Throughout the series, her intelligence, technical skills, and quick thinking are her most valuable assets.
