Description
Corey, a confident and impulsive Pokémon Trainer, emerges during Mewtwo’s rise, frequently spearheading confrontations. Defying a violent storm on Pidgeot’s back, he becomes the sole arrival by air at New Island. There, he battles Mewtwo’s cloned Pokémon with relentless drive, though his hastiness surfaces.

His Rhyhorn initiates the assault against Mewtwo, only to be hurled back by psychic force. Bruteroot, his Venusaur, duels Mewtwo’s cloned counterpart in a clash ending abruptly when the clone deflects Razor Leaf with Vine Whip, crushing Bruteroot. This defeat triggers the cloning of Corey’s entire team: Pidgeot, Scyther, Hitmonlee, Sandslash, and Rhyhorn.

In another timeline, Corey confronts Neesha in a Pokémon League Conference final, fielding Gengar and Venusaur in an unresolved match. A scoreboard implies four undisclosed teammates.

Visually echoing the games’ Cooltrainers, Corey sports a sleeveless jacket and athletic poise. Regional dubs inaccurately dubbing him as Gary Oak and an English misidentification of Pidgeot as Pidgeotto—later corrected—introduce inconsistencies.

Consistently portrayed as a challenger to Mewtwo’s ambitions, Corey underscores resilience and hubris’ repercussions. While his origins remain unexamined, his audacious responses to crises intertwine courage with recklessness.
