TV-Series
Description
Nayuki Minase is Yuichi Aizawa's cousin and the daughter of Akiko Minase. She lives with her mother in a city Yuichi last visited seven years before the story begins. Her name, signifying "name" and "snow," connects her to winter.

Physically, Nayuki possesses long, straight blue-purple tinted hair reaching her waist, light blue eyes, and a slender build, closely resembling Akiko. Her typical attire includes her school uniform or animal-themed pajamas at home. She stands 164 cm tall, weighs 47 kg, and has measurements of B83/W57/H82. Her birthday is December 23, and she has blood type B.

Nayuki displays a kind, calm nature but is notably absentminded. She cares deeply for others, often overworking herself as track team captain, resulting in chronic fatigue. Her heavy sleeping necessitates multiple alarm clocks, inadvertently developing her running speed. She adores cats despite an allergy and loves strawberry jam and sundaes, though she fears Akiko's "special" jam.

Her backstory includes a childhood bond with Yuichi. Seven years prior, she confessed her feelings to him; this coincided with Yuichi witnessing Ayu Tsukimiya's accident, causing him to seemingly reject Nayuki unintentionally. This left her heartbroken, yet she retained hope for reconciliation. When Yuichi returns, Nayuki greets him at the train station hours late and feels relief when he remembers her name. She guides him around the changed town due to his amnesia.

Nayuki's story arc involves Akiko suffering a severe car accident. Akiko's hospitalization plunges Nayuki into depression. Blaming herself and fearing further loss, she withdraws and pushes away Yuichi's attempts to comfort her. Her despair deepens, leading her to believe she "would no longer be able to smile." Supported by Kaori, who relates through her experiences with Shiori, Nayuki gradually recovers her hopeful outlook.

In Nayuki's focused narrative path within the visual novel, Yuichi confesses his feelings, stating he sees her not as a cousin but as "a very important girl." Initially upset, referencing his past abandonment, she accepts his confession after he vows to remain by her side through all seasons. The epilogue confirms Akiko's recovery, showing Nayuki accidentally leaving an alarm clock playing Yuichi's recorded promise: "I will not go anywhere. Because I...I really like you."

Beyond the main story, Nayuki appears in the *Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei* collaboration event "Bright Schoolhouse." In the fighting game *Eternal Fighter Zero*, she has two variants: an "asleep" version uses an unpredictable jam-level-based combat style reflecting her sleepiness, while an "awake" version employs high-speed kicking techniques showcasing her track prowess. Her moves reference in-game elements like snow bunnies and alarm clocks.

Nayuki frequently introduces key locations and characters early in the story. She bonds with other heroines, showing concern for Makoto Sawatari and later considering her family. Despite her lack of supernatural struggles compared to others, her arc explores themes of abandonment, familial love, and resilience.
