Her squadron escorts rescue missions and battles Builder forces. During a critical operation to retrieve survivors at Midway Base, Olivier protects a rescue transport. When the team recovers a lone teenage survivor, Builder-controlled Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning IIs attack. After the hostile fighters are destroyed, the experimental Mitsubishi ATD-X ambushes the squadron. Olivier sacrifices herself, intercepting the ATD-X's attack to allow pilot Aria Hitotose and the survivor to escape. Her death ensures their survival. This act drives Aria's subsequent actions, leading her to encounter the survivor—revealed as Catherine Weller's sister, Lucy—and recommit to flying to protect her.
