Description
Born in Sitia, Crete under a prophecy that a golden feather heralded a future hero destined to rule all Greece, Hermes faced King Minos of Knossos' lethal enmity from infancy. As Prince of Sitia, Hermes assumed leadership and martial prowess, famously rescuing Princess Aphrodite from imprisonment in Lindos, Rhodes. King Minos had conquered her homeland of Delos and slain her father. Hermes achieved her escape via bedsheet and survived a naval pursuit by King Kaipeia of Lindos, aided by supernatural winds.
Hermes united Greek kingdoms against Minos' tyranny, employing strategic tactics informed by his past-life knowledge as Ophealis. He orchestrated the assault on Knossos Palace, deploying Theseus to slay the Minotaur and set the palace ablaze, causing Minos' physical death. When Minos transformed into a demonic Minotaur in hell, Hermes confronted him again by channeling Ophealis' power, resulting in Minos' permanent destruction by angelic archers.
Victorious, Hermes was crowned king and relocated Greece's capital to Eraklion. He received the Staff of Kelyukaeyon from Ophealis, a divine artifact capable of miracles, with a warning against personal desires. Initially using it for practical purposes like locating water, Hermes later employed it in spiritual battles. His prosperous reign prompted former adversary King Kaipeia to seek peace.
Spiritually guided by fairies Pan and Agape, Hermes learned he was a past incarnation of the Fundamental God Ophealis (known as Osiris in Egypt). Meditating at Ophealis' temple granted him enlightenment about interconnected life and his divine origin. A later visit to the Spirit World revealed phenomena like sentient flower fairies and halos symbolizing happiness.
Seven years into marriage, Aphrodite experienced infertility until the Goddess of Love intervened, impregnating her via mystical arrow. Their son Eros was born, fulfilling a divine naming prophecy. Hermes' romance with Aphrodite stood as a destined, eternal bond across reincarnations.
