Description
Poseidon serves as the god of the sea within the narrative. Originally a high-ranking Greek deity, he reincarnated after human worship significantly diminished around 400 years ago due to humans expressing interest in "becoming gods themselves." This loss of believers weakened him, resulting in his current childlike appearance despite being approximately 50 generations old, slightly younger than the Demon King Twilight and the same age as Great Red Siberian. The Former Demon King Oxenthree subsequently took him in, raising him alongside Twilight and Poseidon's older brother Hades, who also reincarnated.

Physically, Poseidon appears as a young boy with blue skin, long indigo hair often tied in a ponytail, and yellow or grayish-brown eyes. He stands at 156 cm (approximately 5'1") in his usual form. His attire includes arm braces, brown cloth pants, blue boots with gold accents, and a magical gold choker that adjusts to his size—a prized gift from Hades. He is frequently shirtless, earning him the nickname "Nudist" from Princess Syalis. Once a year on Marine Day, heightened human focus on the sea allows him to temporarily assume an adult form towering at 6'4" (approximately 193 cm), though his mental maturity remains unchanged and others still treat him like a child.

His personality combines a quick temper, blunt straightforwardness, and occasional pettiness with unexpected sensitivity. He openly criticizes others without restraint but becomes flustered when receiving compliments. He resents comparisons to Hades, kicking his older brother whenever they meet despite their reasonably good relationship. He harbors insecurity about his place among his brothers and feels sidelined when Twilight seemingly "takes Hades away" from him. He possesses a soft spot for cute animals like Eggplant Seals, enjoys camping, reads battle manga, and excels at cooking seafood—though he fears deep frying and relies on Hades for that task. He dislikes horror movies and spicy food, preferring fried chicken with pickled lemon and mayonnaise, fruit punch, barley tea, and seared amberjack sushi.

As the Area boss of the Deep Sea Zone and one of the Ten Guardians of the Demon Castle, Poseidon wields dominion over water. His combat abilities center on his trident, which he summons instantly and manipulates using water before propelling it. He can create high-pressurized water blasts, float, and teleport short distances. His Marine Day form significantly amplifies his power. His reliance on human belief remains critical; further human occupation of the sea could weaken him into infancy. His room lies underwater, accessible only by swimming through a canal, and features a giant clam-shaped bed. He sleeps wearing only his underwear and choker.

Interactions with Princess Syalis involve him being manipulated into aiding her sleep-seeking schemes, whom he initially tolerated less than other demons. She refers to him as her "beat up with magic friend," though he ultimately expresses appreciation for humans like her. When his youngest brother Zeus arrives at the castle, Poseidon eagerly attempts to act as an older brother but becomes flustered due to inexperience, struggling to convey affection. He maintains a friendly rivalry with Twilight, whom he once defeated in a Demon Castle chess championship.

Additional traits include ending sentences with fish doodles in letters, obsessively drying his hair by whirling it in circles to avoid going outside with wet hair, scoring fourth in a Demon Castle Army popularity poll, and wishing for a kiddie pool for Eggplant Seals from Santa Claus. He historically called others "Bro" and still occasionally exhibits this habit.
