Description
Luna Kozuki emerges as a human resistance fighter battling the robot forces commanded by the Black King. She infiltrates Castle Promise, a robot manufacturing stronghold, to ignite rebellion among enslaved human laborers. During this operation, she confronts her former lover Tetsuya Azuma, who transforms into Casshan. After the revolt suffers betrayal, Luna is captured and slated for public execution by the robot Akubon, who schemes to disguise her as Casshan to crush human morale. Casshan intervenes, saving Luna and destroying Akubon while the Black King evades capture.
Following her rescue, Luna departs to deliver weapon blueprints to Admiral Rudolph, commander of human forces. Her helicopter is downed, and the pilot sacrifices himself to ensure her escape from robotic pursuers. She reunites with Casshan and his mechanical companion Friender, witnessing Casshan’s turmoil over his fading humanity and physical decay from relentless combat. When a robot army assaults them, Luna defies Casshan’s order to retreat, standing firm beside him.
Later, Luna orchestrates a human resistance strike to bomb a bridge vital to the Black King’s forces. Casshan initially thwarts the plan by permitting a robot-filled train to pass, but later rectifies this by annihilating the train himself. Luna attempts to console him afterward, but he rejects her comfort. During the final offensive enabled by her delivered weapons, she observes Friender’s self-sacrifice and Casshan’s lethal clash with the Black King. After a failsafe deactivates all robots, Luna survives as a beacon of humanity’s future.

She opposes Braiking Boss, leader of the robot army dominating humanity. Viewing her as a threat, Braiking Boss commands the cyborg Casshern to assassinate her.
