Description
Luna (known as Ruka in Japanese) is the fraternal twin sister of Leo, both residing in New Domino City's Tops district. She presents a calm, collected, and polite demeanor, contrasting sharply with Leo's energetic personality. While occasionally critical of her brother, Luna maintains a deeply caring bond with him.

A significant childhood event shaped Luna's life: falling into a month-long coma after a Duel at age three. During this coma, her consciousness resided in the Duel Monsters Spirit World under Ancient Fairy Dragon's protection. Awakening with repressed memories due to guilt over abandoning her promise to protect that realm, her neglect allowed Zeman the Ape King to petrify spirits and imprison Ancient Fairy Dragon. Luna later returned to the Spirit World, fulfilling her promise and liberating the spirits with Leo's aid.

As a Signer bearing the Crimson Dragon's front claw mark on her right arm, Luna possesses unique abilities. She senses and communicates with Duel Monster Spirits, her primary partners being Kuribon, Regulus, and Ancient Fairy Dragon. Luna can voluntarily travel to the Spirit World, leaving her physical body comatose. She also exhibits extrasensory perception, detecting others in danger (like Yusei Fudo during a Sector Security encounter or Leo's pain mid-duel) and perceiving the emotional state of a duelist's Deck, such as sensing suffering within Akiza Izinski's Plant Deck during the Fortune Cup.

Luna possesses a notably frail constitution, easily fatigued, and historically avoided outdoor activities. Her physical vulnerability lessened after the Dark Signers arc, though she remained susceptible to injury. During a duel against Aporia, she nearly suffered a heart attack triggered by electric shocks and witnessing Leo's temporary death.

In *Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D: Bonds Beyond Time*, Luna appears with Leo and Akiza at Yusei's garage. They present historical research on Maximillion Pegasus and Yugi Muto, plus an article documenting "Stardust Dragon's" impossible European appearance. Luna's presence coincides with Signer marks activating as Paradox's temporal alterations destabilize New Domino City, prompting Crimson Dragon intervention.

Post-Dark Signers arc, Luna attends Duel Academy with Leo, showing reduced frailty. By the series' conclusion, her hair grows longer and she forgoes her signature pigtails. In the manga, Luna's personality differs significantly; initially reserved and manipulative due to the Duel Dragon ceremony's influence, she reverts to a kinder nature after losing a rematch to Yusei. Her manga Deck utilizes Forest and Morphtronic monsters instead of her anime Spirit-based strategy.
