Description
Daniel, once a soldier from the impoverished town of Burnwood, transformed into a Spriggan-type Incarnate during a civil war to secure resources for his beleaguered community. The metamorphosis endowed him with extraordinary strength, resilience, and the capacity to swell his size by metabolizing stored nutrients—a process that could nearly triple his height and sprout a jagged, armored horn in his enlarged state.

When the government reneged on postwar aid pledges and his own townsfolk recoiled at his monstrous visage, Daniel turned desperate. He ambushed and slaughtered traveling merchants near Burnwood, seizing their goods to sustain his ailing mother and neighbors. While some residents initially hailed him as a clandestine protector, his violent methods inevitably drew suspicion.

Hank, a former wartime ally, uncovered Daniel’s crimes and confronted him. Defiant, Daniel framed his brutality as sacrifice for survival and belonging, rejecting surrender. Their battle climaxed with Daniel shifting into his full Incarnate form, only to be fatally struck down. Dying, he voiced anguished doubts over the purpose of Incarnates like himself—soldiers shunned by those they once shielded.

Hank later delivered Daniel’s bounty reward to his mother, funding the town’s exodus from ruin. Daniel’s legacy persists as a grim testament to the fractures between duty and desperation, loyalty and loss, in a society quick to discard its defenders.
