Description
Decky, an animated deck box from the creature world, arrives on Earth during dimensional imbalance. He forms a pact with Joe Kirifuda, becoming his companion and primary source of card creation. Visually, he resembles a white and black deck box with facial features and a red bowtie, sprouting limbs when needed. After Joe labels the unknown civilization "Jokers," a distinctive green "J" mark appears on Decky's body.

Personality-wise, Decky displays energetic knowledge of Duel Masters, often hiding his sentience by posing as an ordinary deck box. Yet he exhibits volatile tendencies, forcing Joe into dangerous "True Duels" where physical harm occurs and initially advocating lethal outcomes against Duel Warriors. This stems from his belief that True Duel Masters must face extreme challenges beyond comfort zones, echoing precedents set by earlier duelists. His creature-world origins create morality distinct from humans, prioritizing prevention of prolonged creature presence in the human realm. Gradually, Joe’s influence moderates these impulses, leading Decky to oppose killing creature spirits for perceived justice.

Decky’s core ability materializes creature cards from Joe’s drawings, constrained by significant limitations: he cannot create dragon-based cards initially, as dragons exist only as legends in his world. Generated "Joker" cards often malfunction or demand unconventional payments. Beyond creation, Decky ingests cards to return spirits to the creature world, analyzes whether creatures are natural or artificial via behavioral cues, and accesses historical duelist memories by processing photographs—though under time constraints. His lifespan exceeds his appearance, enabling recognition of past creatures and duelists in Kirifuda archives. Forcibly inserting a person’s legs into his mouth transports them to the creature world.

Media depictions reveal escalating capabilities: after Joe heals Bad Brand, Decky gains a Fire Civilization mark, broadening Joker creation scope. In the Nature Civilization, interactions with masters like Kabu Toki and Cap grant abilities to produce Nature Jokers and "Gacharange" creatures, upgrading entities like Johnny and Joragon. As the creature world destabilizes, he unlocks Water Joker creation via Cap’s A.I. companion. Decky progressively acknowledges Joe’s potential as a Duel Master, facilitating journeys across civilizations and aiding inter-realm conflict resolution. His Kirifuda legacy connection deepens upon reviewing family archives, expressing admiration for Joe’s father Katta and uncle Shobu.

Throughout his journey, Decky evolves from a secretive observer to an active guardian of both worlds, balancing innate duty to maintain cosmic equilibrium with loyalty to Joe. This reflects adaptation to human morality and incremental empowerment through civilization-specific upgrades.
