Description
Decky, an animated deck box from the creature world, forms a pact with Joe Kirifuda as his companion. Its appearance—a white-and-black container adorned with a face, red bowtie, and sporadic limbs—evolves as a green "J" emblem emerges after Joe names the Jokers civilization. Subsequent symbols, like the Fire Civilization crest, materialize on its surface, mirroring newfound abilities tied to diverse factions.

Functioning as a catalyst for card creation, Decky devours sketches to summon creature cards, though extinct dragons resist this process. The summoned entities often act unpredictably, demanding payment or bargaining for services. It also teleports rogue spirits home by consuming their cards, a perilous act threatening to unravel secrets of the fragile interworld balance. Additionally, Decky unlocks memories embedded in photographs, allowing Joe fleeting communion with ancestral duelists and pivotal moments from his lineage.

Energetic and fiercely knowledgeable, Decky thrives on dueling strategy, mentoring Joe through complex battles. Yet its alien morality justifies harsh "True Duels," endangering opponents with physical harm to steel Joe for looming crises echoing past generational trials. Over time, exposure to Joe’s influence softens its ethos, prompting acts like sparing vanquished spirits rather than annihilating them.

Born from the creature world’s collapse, Decky arrives on Earth aboard comet swarms, tasked with recruiting a Duel Master to quell rogue spirit incursions. Initially concealing the interdimensional turmoil, it later allies with Joe to mediate conflicts across Fire, Nature, and Water civilizations. Together, they enhance creatures like Johnny and Joragon into advanced forms, navigate fiery territorial disputes, and combat existential threats such as Zero and Gap. Their bond matures from wary cooperation into steadfast trust, evident in shared journeys through the creature world’s realms, rehabilitation of fractured spirits like Bad Brand, and unified efforts during the "King of Duelmatch" tournament—all while unraveling enigmas behind their realm’s accelerating decay.
