Himiko reigns as queen of Japan from Yamatai in 240 CE. She commands a powerful army, which she directs to invade the Kumaso people and slaughter the inhabitants of a small village in her pursuit of a mythological firebird known as the Phoenix. She seeks to capture this creature because its blood is believed to grant eternal life, a power she desires for her own gain.

Her military campaign is led by a general named Sarutahiko, and she also employs spies to achieve her objectives. One such spy triggers a series of tragic events while operating on her orders. Himiko's quest for immortality and her ruthless actions demonstrate a significant ambition and a willingness to use her power to fulfill her personal desires, regardless of the human cost.

Her character is also connected to a prince named Susano, who is her brother. Along with an elderly adviser named Sumuke, they are involved in the plot to hunt the Phoenix to secure eternal life for her.
