Description
Sakura, the school nurse at Tomobiki High School and a Shinto priestess, carries a past defined by frail health. Childhood illness confined her to isolation, her only solace being her uncle Cherry, who nurtured her until she uncovered her spiritual sight while hiding in a closet. A fateful collision with Ataru Moroboshi shifted the malevolent spirits plaguing her into him, miraculously curing her ailments and granting her lasting vitality.

Her clinic draws male students who feign injuries to glimpse her, yet she rebuffs Ataru’s relentless advances with icy dismissals—or occasional violence. Engaged to Tsubame Ozuno, a Western-trained sorcerer, their bond frays under constant misunderstandings and meddling from others.

Gifted in exorcism and spirit summoning, Sakura partners with Cherry to quell supernatural threats, wielding startling strength when provoked. She devours immense meals without consequence, jesting about dieting despite her bottomless appetite—a quirk mirroring her uncle’s. Her speech weaves tradition with pragmatism, masking a layered dynamic with Cherry, whom she begrudgingly endures despite his excesses.

Though stern, she softens around Ten, a young alien suitor, initially refusing his affections before conceding to a short-lived date, only to dismiss him as immature. A past heartbreak lingers: a middle-school romance ended when her partner deceitfully blamed another girl.

Sakura’s resilience shines through her dual roles, balancing spiritual duties and nursing amid chaos. Her chant, “Haratama! Kiyotama!”, echoes her devotion to purification, while her engagement and fractured bonds reflect the tumult of reconciling inner resolve with external disorder.
