Description
Tōichirō Izumida, a first-year Tukushiba University student and Bicycle Racing Club member, previously attended Hakone Academy. As a second-year high school student, he became captain and ace sprinter of its bicycle racing club, later holding a leadership role in his third year. He rigorously trained his physique, sacrificing other road race performance to specialize for the Inter-High competition.

His dedication to weight training yields an extremely toned body. Initially shaving his head, he later grows out his hair, sporting spiked hair with shaved sides by his third year before returning to a shaved head after his captaincy. He consistently wears his jersey unzipped to expose his abdominal and pectoral muscles—dubbed Andy (right pectoral) and Frank (left pectoral)—zipping it fully only when facing formidable opponents.

Passionate and fiercely proud of Hakone, Izumida initially underestimates rivals but anchors his confidence in his anthropomorphized muscles: offensive Andy compresses his lungs for propulsion, while prudent Frank detects threats and accelerates blood flow. He frequently chants "Abs!" during sprints and conversations, a habit some teammates adopt. Though polite to upperclassmen and respected cyclists, he reacts with rage if they are insulted. His methodical training coexists with emotional volatility; he values justice yet succumbs to fury or despair. Yukinari Kuroda once disliked him for excessive seriousness, bluntness, and criticism. Izumida deeply admires veterans like Hayato Shinkai.

His cycling hinges on muscle specialization. Intense training builds exceptional core strength, enabling powerful sprints amplified by his "Abs!" chant. Andy and Frank trigger reflexes during competition or danger. As captain, he fortified Hakone’s mountainous training to uphold its "six aces" reputation, enhancing climbing resilience. In his third year, he develops lower back and oblique muscles (named Fabian) for the Full-Muscle Sprint. Later, naming his quadriceps Peter (left) and Mark (right), he unleashes the Final-Muscle Sprint—yielding explosive power that immobilizes his legs post-use, showcased at Inter-High.

Izumida refines his physique and techniques throughout high school. By his third year, he shifts focus to lower-body muscles, expanding beyond pectoral-centric abilities. His leadership evolves to emphasize Hakone’s competitive legacy. Post-graduation, he continues cycling at university.

Trivia notes hobbies: bodybuilding, plant cultivation with precise daily watering, bonsai, and wildflower expertise. He moderately enjoys takoyaki and reacts intensely to zombie films. He dislikes pectoral touches. Muscle names honor cyclists: Andy and Frank (Fränk and Andy Schleck), Fabian (Fabian Cancellara), Peter and Mark (Peter Sagan and Mark Cavendish). He often compares himself to a polished spear.
