OVA
Description
Munto is the young king of the Magical Kingdom, one of the nations that make up the Heavenly World, and the main male protagonist of the story. His background is rooted in a time of crisis: the Heavenly World is running out of Akuto, the energy source derived from human emotions and spirit that sustains both the heavens and the earth. Without Akuto, the floating islands of the heavens will collapse, and both worlds will face destruction. As the ruler of the Magical Kingdom, Munto bears the weight of his people's survival and believes the only way to restore the flow of Akuto is to seek out the human girl Yumemi Hidaka, who possesses the rare ability to see the Heavenly World and holds the key to saving both realms.

Munto's personality is defined by a mix of pride, stubbornness, and a strong sense of duty. He can come across as arrogant, but this pride is tempered by genuine courage, strength, and a deep sense of care for his people and his world. He is determined and willful, willing to take drastic measures even when the odds are against him. In the second OVA, he deliberately descends to the dangerous Lower World once more to find Yumemi, driven by the urgent need to save Heaven from its impending demise. His stubbornness can be a flaw, but it also fuels his relentless pursuit of a solution.

Motivations are central to his character: he acts out of a need to protect his kingdom and the entire Heavenly World from collapse. The depletion of Akuto threatens not only the heavens but eventually the earth as well, and Munto understands that the fate of both dimensions rests on his mission. He is not acting out of personal ambition but out of responsibility as a king. His role in the story is that of a catalyst and a guide: he appears before Yumemi, a middle school girl who has always felt isolated because she could see the floating islands in the sky that no one else could see, and challenges her to accept her power and help save the worlds. He pushes her to confront her own doubts and fears, and together they must bridge the gap between the two realms.

Key relationships include his bond with Yumemi, who is the only human he can directly contact and the one who can pierce the Wall of Time to restore Akuto. Their connection is unique and profound, with Yumemi experiencing visions of Munto's past because of their link. He also relies on his advisor, an elder named Gaz who has the ability to see the future and who encourages Munto to seek Yumemi. Other relationships include his allies in the Magical Kingdom and his enemies among the other heavenly nations that see the Magical Kingdom as a threat and seek to destroy it.

Over the course of the story, Munto shows development in his understanding of Yumemi and human feelings. Initially, he appears as a forceful and somewhat brusque figure who demands help, but he gradually learns to respect Yumemi's struggles and the importance of her emotional well-being. His growth is tied to his acceptance that saving the world requires not just power but also trust and cooperation.

Notable abilities are tied to the Akuto energy that all Heavenly Beings can control. As a king, Munto possesses considerable strength and combat skill, able to wield Akuto as a physical force in battle. His powers are connected to the emotional energy of humans, and his success depends on restoring the connection between the two worlds. He is also able to cross between dimensions, traveling from the Heavenly World to Earth, a feat that is dangerous and rare. His most defining ability is his unwavering resolve to fight for the survival of his world and his willingness to risk everything to find the one person who can save it.
