Description
Hana lives in Kikyōgahara, a cone-shaped region of Shin Province, within a small village community. Gentle by nature, she possesses strong familial devotion, especially to her elderly great-grandmother, Chiyo, whom she affectionately calls "Granny." This bond drives her actions, consistently prioritizing her family's well-being.

Her routine village life shifts with the arrival of the Natsugawa Genzaemon Troupe, traveling entertainers welcomed warmly by the villagers. While carrying oyaki, a local food, Hana unwittingly triggers a pivotal moment: the troupe's leader, Genbanojō, sees his favorite dish, panics, and reverts to his true fox form, revealing the entire troupe consists of foxes in human disguise.

Instead of fear, Hana reacts with amusement, giggling at the revelation. To secure her silence, Genbanojō offers her one wish. Hana selflessly wishes for her bedridden great-grandmother to see cherry blossoms, underscoring her unwavering focus on family happiness over personal gain.

The story culminates in her wish serving as the resolution, emphasizing Hana's role as a catalyst exploring familial bonds and kindness.
