TV-Series
Description
Hana emerges from the Witch World's Blue Rose Garden every century as the designated future Witch Queen candidate. Witnessed during an unauthorized visit in *Ojamajo Doremi Sharp* by Doremi Harukaze, Hazuki Fujiwara, Aiko Senoo, and Onpu Segawa, witch law compelled them to raise her for one year. Appearing initially as an infant, she grew up primarily in the human world under their care, learning basic skills like walking and socializing. Her early years involved unintentional magic surges through bead accessories, causing unpredictable events. During *Motto! Ojamajo Doremi*, a curse from the former Witch Queen gave her an intense aversion to vegetables, threatening her magical growth; the apprentices cured her pickiness and strengthened their bond. After major arcs in *Sharp* and *Motto*, the girls relinquished their witch status and custody of Hana to resolve crises, leading to repeated separations.

Driven by loneliness and a desire to reunite with her caretakers in *Ojamajo Doremi Dokkān!*, Hana used innate magic to age herself into an 11-year-old. This act shattered her original magic crystals, prompting the Witch Queen to designate her a witch apprentice alongside the others. Her human form features lemon-yellow pigtails tied with pink scrunchies (gifted by Doremi), brown eyes, a white winged-sleeve shirt, denim shorts with heart-shaped pockets, and orange sneakers. Her design underwent numerous iterations during development.

Personality-wise, Hana exhibits childlike innocence, exuberance, and occasional selfishness or rudeness stemming from a simplistic mindset. She often struggles to solve problems appropriately but possesses a kind heart and forms friendships easily. Frustration manifests in tantrums, though attention doesn't spoil her. Her speech includes third-person self-referencing and the distinctive greeting "Chīsu!", occasionally adopted by others.

Magically, Hana wields exceptional innate abilities, enabling nonverbal spellcasting despite initial lack of training. Her signature spells are the transformation chant "Pretty Witch Hana-chan-cchi!" and "Pororin Pyuarin Hanahana Pii!". Her unique magic stage involves collaboration. As a pure-blood witch candidate, her raw power surpasses others, even after losing her initial crystals.

Her relationships with the Ojamajo are central. She shares a profound bond with Doremi, the first person she saw after birth, deepening despite early difficulties like frequent urination incidents. Hazuki crafts items for her, Aiko balances sternness with affection, Onpu offers emotional guidance, and Momoko bonds as a *Dokkān!* classmate, sometimes disapproving of Hana's impulsive magic. Pop views herself as Hana's older sister, with the OVA *Na-i-sho* revealing mutual envy over their traits.

Trivia includes her birthday (March 25), favorite foods (pudding and steak), theme colors (lemon yellow and white), a rumored unused localization dub name change to "Flora", and being the only main character whose name isn't spelled with three kana.
