Description
Pegatrix is an Alicorn-type Bakugan, merging Pegasus and unicorn traits, originating from the reboot series. She emerges as Lia Venegas's primary guardian following Gorthion's loss, revealed when Lia examines a mysterious white flower transformed by second Great Collision goo; the flower bursts open, placing Pegatrix in Lia's hand. Possessing the ability to calm surrounding creatures, she uses this power on humans like Wynton, Dan, and Lightning. Strong-willed with distinct opinions on her human partner's conduct, Pegatrix often clashes with Lia's independent nature. She values the world's beauty, while Lia challenges her perspectives, forging a partnership focused on mutual growth. Their initial friction centers on battle strategy, with Pegatrix cautioning against impulsiveness—advice Lia initially disregards, leading to defeat and Gorthion's loss. After this setback, Pegatrix consoles Lia, strengthening their collaboration as they aid Drago and Trox by locating BakuCores during battles. Pegatrix participates in key events, including a contest between Magnus Black and Shun Kazami and rescue missions like freeing Bear from Strata the Hunter. She temporarily departs Lia's side in Geogan Rising, replaced by Fenneca, but later returns. Pegatrix evolves significantly through Fusion forms, merging with other Bakugan to enhance capabilities. Notable fusions include Pegatrix x Gillator, a combination wielding Baku-Gear like Crystal Blaster and exhibiting combined Haos/Pyrus faction traits with 1000B B-Power, and Pegatrix x Goreene. She also accesses further Aurelus fusion forms. Utilizing specialized Baku-Gear like Lightning Striker, Bolt Bow, Crystal Blaster, and Golden Haos Laser in battle, Pegatrix unleashes attacks such as Prismatic Blast and Shimmering Shockwave. Her physical game attributes vary by faction and season; as a Haos Bakugan in Battle Planet she possesses 300B B-Power, rising to 500B in Armored Alliance. Diamond variants reach 1700B B-Power. Beyond the anime, Pegatrix appears in the video game "Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia" as one of five selectable Bakugan during the quest "What in the World?". Her character art and design iterations are documented across media, encompassing multiple faction variants and fusion forms.
