Her personality blends headstrong, meticulous, and bossy tendencies with genuine kindness and helpfulness. She possesses a quick temper, flaring up at minor frustrations, yet demonstrates care through actions like assisting Kenichi Mitsuba's mother with chores and eventually forming friendships. She owns and plays multiple musical instruments, including a bassoon, flute, recorder, piccolo, and clarinet.

Tsubame centers her affections on a persistent romantic pursuit of protagonist Kanzo Hattori, actively seeking his approval. Hattori secretly returns her feelings, confirmed when he conceals his affection after helping her in specific episodes.
