Description
Chris operates as Rhisley's primary enforcer within the Nostradamus Sect cult, executing operations with ruthless efficiency. He initiates conflict by prematurely detonating a bomb during a plane hijacking to eliminate compromised hijackers, then kidnaps Julia Douglas—daughter of U.S. presidential candidate Douglas—to pressure her father's withdrawal from the election.
He wields advanced technology and psychological manipulation, using hypnotic wristbands to subjugate Fujiko Mine, erasing her memories to transform her into a compliant cult servant. His brutality manifests in torturing Lupin’s uncle, Philip, with a neural extraction device to extract vault secrets, leading to Philip’s death.
Though Rhisley's enforcer, Chris harbors independent ambitions for global dominance. He orchestrates a secondary scheme using brainwashed members of the Brazilian soccer team to plant explosives throughout the Douglas-owned Earth Building skyscraper. This plot serves dual purposes: stealing the authentic Nostradamus prophecies from the high-security vault and enabling his betrayal of Rhisley. Chris seeks personal command of the cult and worldwide power, dismissing Rhisley’s slower timeline.
His final confrontation with Lupin occurs within the vault, where its defense mechanisms trap him in a disorienting virtual reality simulation of endless falling. Panicked, Chris detonates the building explosives prematurely via his wristwatch, triggering structural collapse. During the ensuing chaos, he engages Lupin in combat but is crushed by falling debris from the disintegrating vault. His death, alongside Rhisley’s during the building’s destruction, eliminates both threats.
