Description
Onigiri, sometimes localized as Analog, fights with Team Freedom. Originally enslaved by the Dark Metal Empire, he endured forced participation in unethical Hacker Key experiments on Zoids, an ordeal that inflicted deep guilt, especially concerning tests on his own partner, Gannontoise.

Long before his capture, Onigiri inadvertently polluted a lake near his home while testing a Wild Zoid attractant. Discovering Gannontoise trapped in the contaminated depths, he tirelessly purified the water and nursed the injured Zoid back to health. His unwavering devotion during Gannontoise's illness forged their unbreakable bond, though the incident left the Zoid terrified of deep water and Onigiri haunted by remorse for unintentionally harming it.

Renowned among allies as "Professor," Onigiri wields exhaustive technical knowledge of Zoids. He routinely analyzes Zoid capabilities mid-battle, identifying names, types, and combat functions even without visual confirmation. His expertise spans Zoid repair and tactical modifications.

After the Dark Metal Empire (or Death Metal Empire) enslaved him to continue coercive experiments, Arashi facilitated his escape. Vowing atonement, Onigiri dedicated himself to destroying the Empire's research facility and liberating captive Zoids. Gannontoise acknowledged this redemption by granting him its Zoid Key, cementing their battle partnership.

Curious and enthusiastic about learning, Onigiri nonetheless carries persistent guilt over past actions. He fundamentally regards Zoids as living beings worthy of respect, opposing the Empire's view of them as disposable tools—a philosophy fueling his commitment to their welfare.

His primary partner, Gannontoise, is a heavily armored tortoise-type Zoid. Its Gannon Cannon, unleashed during Wild Blast, expends massive energy. Defensive capabilities include full-shell coverage, expandable side barriers, and a sealed ventilation valve protecting the pilot during combat.
