Description
Shade operates as a member of the antagonistic G Society alongside his partner Torch. He possesses long, light purple hair and red eyes, wearing a suit accented with red lines that contrasts Torch's green-accented outfit.
During a mission in episode 7, Shade and Torch confront ES members of the Galactic Trade Organization (GTO) aboard a sabotaged space station. While Torch battles Trixie, Q-feuille, and Di-air, Shade specifically targets Ascoeur and Troisienne, attempting to prevent their escape before the station's destruction. The intervention of Ascoeur and Q-feuille ultimately thwarts this objective, forcing Shade and Torch to retreat with one of the station's warships while the GTO agents survive.
Later, Shade manipulates the protagonist Q-feuille after her memory loss caused by overusing time-manipulation abilities. He brainwashes her into believing she is the younger sister of G Society figure Geacht'er. This brainwashing induces a significant personality shift: Q-feuille becomes more childlike and dependent, refers to herself in the third person, and displays excessive affection towards Geacht'er, whom she addresses as "onii-chan" (big brother).
The names Shade and Torch thematically represent opposing concepts of darkness and light, reflecting their partnership.
