Tsukuyomi, Susanoo's older brother and god of the moon, rules the Night Kingdom from his crystal palace. The palace and its denizens exhibit sharp-angled crystalline architecture. Crystal soldiers within this realm serve with clumsy antics that provide comic relief. When Susanoo journeys to find his deceased mother, he seeks directions to Heaven at Tsukuyomi's abode. Though Tsukuyomi forewarns Susanoo of imminent dangers, he cannot offer the sought guidance nor prevent his brother's departure, establishing their familial bond.
