Veldora Tempest, one of only four True Dragons, embodies chaos with authority over wind, water, and space. His nature as a spiritual lifeform of pure energy classifies him as a "Catastrophe-level" SS+ threat. The youngest sibling to Veldanava, Velzard, and Velgrynd, he endured persistent torment from his sisters, resulting in deep-seated trauma and fear, positioning him as the protected "baby" of the family. Roughly 2,000 years ago, his boredom triggered rampages, including destroying a vampire city ruled by Demon Lord Luminous Valentine and earning her lasting enmity. Three centuries before the main events, a masked hero defeated and sealed him within the "Infinite Prison" in the Jura Forest's Sealed Cave, trapping him in centuries of isolation. His pivotal change began when Rimuru Tempest, a reincarnated slime, entered his prison. Intrigued by Rimuru's ability to approach his energy form, Veldora initiated conversation, forming an immediate bond. He named Rimuru, granting the "Divine Protection of the Storm Crest," while Rimuru shared his surname "Tempest" as a symbol of equality. To bypass the seal's erasure effect, Rimuru absorbed Veldora using "Predator," housing him within his stomach for nearly two years. During this time, Veldora analyzed the "Infinite Prison," befriended the flame spirit Ifrit (later named Charys), and immersed himself in manga from Rimuru's memories—which he reverently termed "sacred texts." This cultivated a more patient, analytical personality and reduced his impulsivity. After Rimuru evolved into a True Demon Lord, the upgraded skill "Raphael" enhanced Veldora's "Investigator" ability into the Ultimate Skill "Faust." This allowed Veldora's astral body to escape the seal and inhabit a Rimuru clone, granting him a human form: over two meters tall with blond hair, golden zigzag-marked eyes, a muscular physique retaining faint traces of Rimuru's features, clad in black pants, armored boots, and a red-lined black cape. Functionally immortal, Veldora stores memories within Rimuru, enabling resurrection regardless of physical destruction. Post-revival, he gained the Ultimate Skill "Chaos King Nyarlathotep," providing probability manipulation, accelerated thought processing, and resistance to existence erasure, causality manipulation, and power nullification. Personality-wise, Veldora is boisterous, energetic, and prideful, often boasting to mask social awkwardness. He exhibits childlike enthusiasm, impulsively seeking battles or distractions, yet demonstrates fierce loyalty to Rimuru—viewing him as a sworn friend and brother. His manga obsession inspires "Veldora-Style Martial Arts," blending tropes into practical skills. Despite his destructive reputation, he remains largely benign with periodic energy outlets and avoids conflicts involving his sisters. In Tempest, he stations himself in the labyrinth as its final boss to safely discharge excess magic, assists in research, trains monsters, and participates in festivals—even operating a takoyaki stand showcasing unexpected culinary skill. Key relationships define his interactions: Rimuru is his closest confidant and equal; Velzard and Velgrynd incite avoidance due to past trauma; Luminous Valentine holds a grudge over her city's destruction; Ramiris bonds with him over manga as a self-proclaimed student; and Milim Nava, his niece, engages in restrained play-fights to prevent escalation. Veldora also expresses jealousy toward his younger brother Velgaia when doted on by their sisters. Throughout his arc, Veldora evolves from a lonely, destructive force into a protective ally valued in Tempest. His battles—like an interrupted clash with Velgrynd and a victory over Dagrule—highlight growth in strategic combat, while comedic mishaps, such as misnaming Luminous or misunderstanding Rimuru's skills, underscore his enduring impulsiveness.
