Veldora Tempest, the Storm Dragon, ranks among the world's five True Dragons as the fourth oldest, an incarnation of chaos wielding authority over wind, water, and space. His vast magical energy and destructive potential earned him classification as a Catastrophe-level threat. Approximately 2,000 years ago, he obliterated a vampire city ruled by Demon Lord Luminous Valentine, forging her lasting enmity. Three centuries before the main events, after halting an Eastern Empire invasion, the Hero Chronoa sealed him within the Infinite Prison in the Jura Forest. This confinement trapped him in isolation and profound boredom until a slime named Rimuru Tempest entered his cave. This encounter proved transformative. Intrigued by Rimuru's ability to withstand his aura, Veldora initiated contact. The two forged a bond, exchanging names and becoming sworn friends. To bypass the Infinite Prison's constraints, Veldora permitted Rimuru to consume and store him within the subspace Rimuru's Stomach. During this period, Veldora meticulously dissected his seal, befriended the flame spirit Ifrit (later named Charys), and absorbed Rimuru's memories of Japan. He developed an intense fascination with manga, declaring them "sacred texts," and these stories reshaped his worldview, prompting him to reconsider his destructive impulses. Following Rimuru's evolution into a Demon Lord, the skill Great Sage (later Raphael) amplified Veldora's Unique Skill "Investigator" by 345 times. Guided by Raphael, Veldora evolved it into the Ultimate Skill "Faust," multiplying his processing power a thousandfold and enabling the liberation of his Astral body. He was incarnated into a physical form using one of Rimuru's Body Doubles, reshaping it into a muscular, two-meter-tall humanoid vessel with tanned skin, platinum-blond hair, golden eyes, and subtle facial resemblances to Rimuru. A Soul Corridor permanently linked them, facilitating power-sharing and granting Veldora functional immortality, as Rimuru could revive him indefinitely. In his true dragon form, Veldora manifests as a Western dragon with dark scales, bluish wing membranes, six-fingered claws, and four backward-curving horns. His personality is boisterous, energetic, and prideful, yet marked by social awkwardness and childish outbursts. This demeanor masks loneliness and trauma endured from torment by his sisters—Velzard, whom he fears profoundly, and Velgrynd, whom he respects slightly more. His bond with Rimuru tempered his impulsiveness, fostering patience and analytical thought. He views Rimuru as an equal and brother, defending him fiercely when threatened. After his revival, he resides within Tempest's labyrinth to safely vent excess magic, serving as its final guardian, training warriors, and occasionally operating a takoyaki stand where he displays unexpected culinary skill. Key events include his decisive intervention in the Eastern Empire war, where Emperor Rudra's forces briefly controlled him using a God-Slaying Bullet until Rimuru freed him. He also clashed with Velgrynd but consistently avoided direct confrontations with Velzard. Veldora is among the select few aware of Rimuru's skill Ciel (previously Raphael), alongside Velgrynd, Charys, and others. His hobbies include mimicking combat techniques from manga, creating "Veldora-Style Martial Arts," and employing his signature three-stage laughter.
