Description
Veldora Tempest, the Storm Dragon, stands among the five True Dragons as a primordial incarnation of chaos, wielding dominion over wind, water, and spatial forces. Once prone to destructive rampages fueled by restlessness and boredom, his clashes with formidable adversaries like Demon Lord Luminous Valentine and the Eastern Empire culminated in a 300-year imprisonment within the Infinity Prison, sealed by the hero Chronoa. His solitude shattered when Rimuru Tempest, a slime, infiltrated his cavernous prison. The encounter forged an unlikely alliance: Veldora exchanged names with Rimuru, forging a pact that allowed him to reside within Rimuru’s stomach, bypassing the seal’s constraints.

Within Rimuru, Veldora absorbed fragments of his host’s past-life memories, including Japanese cultural knowledge and manga—revered as "sacred texts"—which tempered his impulsivity with analytical thought. He nurtured an unexpected camaraderie with the fire spirit Ifrit, later renamed Charys, mentoring the entity as his apprentice. Though his demeanor softened through interactions in Tempest, Veldora retained a brash, prideful exterior, often cloaking social unease with theatrical boasts.

Resurrected via a clone of Rimuru’s body, Veldora adopted a human guise: a towering blond figure exuding subtle intimidation. A Soul Corridor linked his survival to Rimuru’s, rendering him functionally immortal. Post-revival, he embraced eclectic roles—managing a festival takoyaki stand and serving as the labyrinth’s final guardian, meticulously restraining his colossal magic to challenge aspirants without devastation.

Loyalty to Rimuru anchors his relationships, recognizing the slime as both equal and sworn ally. Tensions linger with his elder sisters, Velzard and Velgrynd, whose past torment contrasts his evolving maturity. Beyond his fearsome legacy, Veldora harbors curiosity for human customs, relishes entertainment, and secretly savors flattery. His growth balances destructive instincts with strategic responsibility, evident during crises like resisting imperial manipulation in the Eastern Empire’s invasion.

Spin-off tales reveal lighter facets: chronicling Rimuru’s exploits in a personal journal, mastering shogi with Charys during his stomach-bound tenure, and honing culinary prowess—most notably, crafting takoyaki with precision that belies his mythic stature. These vignettes underscore a duality of might and whimsy, framing a dragon who wields both apocalyptic power and a spatula with equal flair.
