Description
Veldora Tempest, the Storm Dragon, ranks as the fourth-oldest of the five True Dragons, embodying chaos and commanding control over wind, water, and space. Born as a manifestation of primordial energy, his existence instilled perpetual restlessness, often resulting in destructive rampages perceived as natural disasters. Approximately 2,000 years ago, he destroyed a vampire city ruled by Demon Lord Luminous Valentine, earning her lasting enmity. Three hundred years prior to the main events, he clashed with the Eastern Empire's forces in the Jura Forest and was imprisoned by a summoned Hero using the "Infinity Prison," confining him to centuries of isolation within the Sealed Cave.

His solitude ended when a slime named Rimuru entered the cave, sparking an unexpected friendship. Veldora bestowed the name "Rimuru" upon the slime, sharing his surname "Tempest" as a symbol of equality. To escape the seal, Veldora consented to being stored within Rimuru's "Stomach." There, he spent a year analyzing the prison and accessing Rimuru's memories of manga from his previous world, which he revered as "sacred texts." This exposure fostered significant personal growth, tempering his impulsiveness and nurturing patience, analytical thinking, and social adaptability. During this time, he also bonded with the fire spirit Ifrit (later named Charys), who became his apprentice.

Veldora's release was facilitated by Rimuru's evolved skill, Raphael, which amplified his "Investigator" ability 345-fold and evolved it into the "Ultimate Skill: Faust," enhancing his cognitive processing a thousandfold. This allowed him to manifest an astral body and incarnate into a clone of Rimuru, reshaping it into a muscular, two-meter-tall human form with blond hair, golden eyes, and distinctive zigzag markings beneath them and on his arms. A "Soul Corridor" linking him to Rimuru enables power-sharing and functional immortality, as Rimuru's preservation of his memories allows for resurrection regardless of physical destruction.

Personality-wise, Veldora exhibits exuberance, pride, and social awkwardness, often masking shyness with boisterous declarations of his greatness. He possesses limited social tact, unaware that his requests intimidate others into compliance. Despite his reputation as a "rampaging idiot," he primarily poses a threat when unable to alleviate boredom or when loved ones are endangered. His loyalty to Rimuru is profound, viewing him as a sworn friend and equal whose companionship alleviated his loneliness. He maintains a traumatic fear of his elder sisters, Velzard and Velgrynd, due to past torment, though he respects his eldest sibling, Veldanava, for shielding him. Rimuru's role evolved into that of a protective figure against his sisters, leading outsiders to perceive Veldora as "tamed."

In combat, Veldora wields immense magical power, including "Storm Magic," "Dragon Halo," and "Telepathy." His signature "Ultimate Skill: Faust" grants multifaceted capabilities: "All of Creation," "Thought Acceleration," "Parallel Existence," "Probability Manipulation," and "Spatio-Temporal Manipulation." He developed the "Veldora-Style Killing Arts" while inside Rimuru, blending original techniques like "Burning Bullet" and "Void Fist" with recreated manga-inspired moves such as "Kamehameha" and "Hadoken." Post-release enhancements include aura-based "Law Manipulation" and "Fate Manipulation," allowing him to alter world laws and predestined outcomes. His aura range spans planetary scales, with potential universal+ reach, and exhibits "Power Nullification" and "Conceptual Manipulation," evidenced by countering the universe-destroying "Mobius System."

Post-release, Veldora resides in the Jura Tempest Federation, managing its Dungeon and participating in societal activities like operating a takoyaki stand during festivals, showcasing culinary proficiency. He engages in pivotal battles, including victories over Hero Hinata and inconclusive clashes with Velgrynd and Chorona. His development saw him evolve from a solitary catastrophe to a guardian invested in Rimuru's vision of unity.
