Description
Raphael, an angel marked by a solitary wing, carries a legacy tied to both celestial and mortal realms. Once known as Fuyuki Suzuhara, the deceased elder brother of Natsumi Suzuhara, his angelic identity bridges her lingering grief and her encounters with ethereal visions tied to his memory. At Angel School, he serves as a professor, mentoring Mikael—a pivotal guide for Noelle’s angelic ascension. Their bond deepens into romance, colored by Raphael’s playful teasing and flirtatious charm, though his protective instincts surface during Mikael’s moments of vulnerability.

Though unable to interact freely with the human world, Raphael subtly shapes pivotal events. He grants Noelle fleeting flight to rescue herself, Yuusuke, and a young Natsumi during a clock tower crisis, revealing his indirect yet decisive influence. Only Noelle, Mikael, and Natsumi perceive him, with Mikael uniquely able to touch him physically—a testament to their profound connection.

His history intertwines with Mikael’s struggles: a hiatus from teaching at Mikael’s former school coincides with the latter’s trials, underscoring their interdependent dynamic. Raphael’s return reinforces his dual role as a stabilizing mentor and a catalyst for emotional tension, their shared past complicating their reliance on one another.

Consistently portrayed across media, Raphael balances celestial duties with personal ties, his narrative anchored by his mentorship of Mikael, guardianship of Noelle, and unresolved bonds with Natsumi. No expanded storylines alter his core arc, preserving his focus as a guiding force enmeshed in the lives of those he shapes.
